Etats-Unis : Brown Forman met en vente sa division « vin » incluant les marques Fetzer et Sonoma-Cutrer
Jack Daniel’s whiskey maker Brown-Forman Corp. is putting its wine business on the block in a move that could fetch a few hundred million dollars, according to a published report.
Citing unnamed people familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal says Louisville, Ky.-based Brown-Forman has hired Rothschild to run the auction process after contending with sluggish sales in recent years. Brown-Forman declined to comment on any sale plans. Its wine business includes the Fetzer and Sonoma-Cutrer brands.
The paper also said people familiar with the matter expect Constellation Brands Inc. to sell the bulk of its non-domestic wine business to an unknown buyer as soon as this week in a deal that could be valued between $300 million to $400 million. Messages left with the Victor, N.Y., company seeking comment weren’t immediately returned Monday evening.
